At Acclaim, we understand that you need to make educated decisions regarding home healthcare. Below is information on home health care services our clients often want to know.

1. What is Home Health Care?
   • There are 2 types:
     Skilled or Medical Home Health Care is provided by Nurses, Physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, social workers or home health aides. Agencies that provide this type of care are often overseen by state and federal laws, and are often certified by Medicare and Medicaid. Most Insurances cover these medically necessary services with a Doctor’s referral. The patients are usually home bound. Acclaim Home Health Care is one of such agencies.

   Non skilled or Non-medical Home Care offers personal care, homemaking, shopping, laundry, friendly visitors, companionship and respite. Agencies that provide this care may or may not be licensed. Medicaid may cover these services.

2. How to choose the right Home Health Agency?
• Check on Home Health Compare Medicare website for quality measures
• Referrals from family/friends
• Call agency and ask questions
3. How do you train your employees?
• All employees are hired highly qualified, we do extensive background checks, licensing verification, CORI, extensive orientation and continuing education programs
4. How can Medicaid help people with low incomes?
5. Do I need to sign a contract?
• No, you sign a consent form but can terminate services at any time.
6. How often do you bill your services?
• We bill insurances directly for all our care. Each Insurance has different Criteria. We accept Medicare, MassHealth, Fallon, BCBS, Network Health, SummitElderplan, Evercare, Senior whole Health
7. What are the areas your serve?
